 The fields of production of Shimizu Steel−which has been known as “Large
size bar is Shimizu” in the industry since its 1937 foundation−span a
number of areas, including steel products, from sales of raw materials
for making steel to production of deformed bar and round bar by electric
furnace, forging industrial machines and vessel parts, and the recycling
of iron resources. Among these, that which has not changed is Shimizu’s
