Jun.1947 Founded Shimizu Store Co.,Ltd.. as incorporated organization.
Aug.1949 Built iron scrap pressing factory in Hirai,Edogawa-ku,Tokyo
Mar.1956 Founded Shimizu Forgings Co.,Ltd.(formerly Tokyo Works),and began manufacturing business with production of steel forgings
Feb.1958 Certified by L.R.,A.B. and N.K.
Jul.1959 Began operating new equipment f hot-rolled bar at Tokyo Works.
Feb.1962 Installed steel forging manipulator
Dec.1968 Changed name from Shimizu Store Co.,Ltd. to Shimizu Steel Co.,Ltd.
Jan.1969 Completed head office building.
May.1969 Built steel products warehouse at Tokyo Steel Products Dealers Association,No.1 Urayasu steel industrial park.
Dec.1969 Tokyo Works became JIS-approved.
Jun.1970 Founded Shimizu Steel Making Co.,Ltd. with capital of 50 million yen.
Started constructing 40t electric furnace steel making works at Yufutsu industrial park in Tomakomai city,Hokkaido.
Jun.1970 Completed steel making works and began product operation.
Mar,1974 Increased capital to 100 million yen.
Feb.1979 Patented Shimizu Steel Scrap Preheat
After receiving first overseas trainees from Singapore,received 243 overseas trainees from 21 countries.
Aug.1980 Entrusted by New Technology Development Foundation,Shimizu Steel Making Co.,Ltd. participated in a project in joint development with Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, as an experimental factory for Continuous Steel Making( C.S.M) for the first time in the world.Finished project in December.
Feb.1981 Obtained site for Utsunomiya Works at Kiyohara industrial park,Utsunomiya.
Aug.1982 Completed Utsunomiya Works and began operation.
Nov.1982 Closed Tokyo Works as Utsunomiya Works began operation.
Mar.1983 Completed Utsunomiya Works at Tokyo Steel Products Dealers Association, Second Urayasu Steel Industrial Park.
Oct.1983 Merged Shimizu Steel Making Co.,Ltd. and Changed name to Tomakomai Works with capital of 105 million yen.
May.1985 Completed Steel Making Works at Tomakomai Works and began producing deformed bar and plain bar by rolling direct from electric furnace.
Aug.1990 Completed steel product warehouse at Second Urayasu Steel Industrial Park.
Apr.1992 Transferred steel product division to Urayasu. Changed name from Urayasu Factory to Urayasu Office.
Mar.1995 Began constructing new steeling factory at Tomakomai Works.
Apr.1996 Began operation of direct electric furnace at Tomakomai Works.
Aug.1997 Began using natural gas a new energy source at Tomakomai Works.
Oct.1999 Tomakomai Works obtained ISO9002 certification.
Dec.1999 Utsunomiya Works obtained ISO9002 certification.
Apr.2000 Headquarters moved from Sumida-ku. Tokyo, to Urayasu city,Chiba.
